Licence and permissions

Permitted without asking

You may, free of charge, use FLASHPOINT:2027 as hosted at escalationlab.org for non-commercial teaching, training and research, including:

running it in seminars, lectures, workshops and exercises;
setting it as coursework or assessment, and asking students to submit its after-action reports;
linking to it from course pages, virtual learning environments and reading lists;
quoting short extracts in teaching materials and academic work, with citation.

Please credit it as: FLASHPOINT:2027, an Escalation Lab project by Hallam Burnapp (escalationlab.org). Citation formats are on the About page.

Requires written permission

any commercial use, including paid training or courses;
re-hosting, mirroring or redistributing the software, whether modified or not;
reusing or adapting the scenario text, code, graphics or design in another work.

The typefaces (Archivo, Newsreader and IBM Plex Mono) are served by Google Fonts under the SIL Open Font License. Works cited on the Sources and method page remain the property of their authors and publishers.
